LIVE STREAM | 8PM PST
exploring the emergent choreography of collective thought, digital media artist and architect Caco Peguero turns to the language of pixels and neighborhoods in a work that asks a deceptively simple question: how do we abstract the process of communicating belief systems — and the influence it carries?
drawing from the phenomenon of firefly synchrony, in which clusters of fireflies with no conductor and no command begin to flash in perfect unison, and from Steven Strogatz's text Sync, Peguero explores what patterns emerge when belief systems begin to speak to one another. through a mesmerizing dance of pixels, what do millions of quiet influences look like as they slowly coalesce — not through top-down dictation, but through iterative proximity and conversation?
under a blue moon, lose yourself in a work about perception, agency, and the strange beauty of ideas in motion.
as the moon waxes full and bright, we gather poets, writers, artists, and creatives to share works that orbit, reflect, and refract. witchy, huh? part literary convening, part celestial ritual, fool moon is about letting go, levitating, and experimenting—get your coven ready.
because some things are worth waiting for.
